Give Back – it makes you feel good!
You all know how I feel about giving back. It’s part of my every day life. Whether it be through time, acts, or gifts – which can be gifts of money, service, time, or other items, I believe in contributing to our society. I believe in paying it forward, helping others, and sharing.
Today is a special day. It’s #GivingTuesday.
#GivingTuesday is a national day to give back – to help others, and support the nonprofits that are doing such amazing work to make our communities, country, and world a better place.
I want to do what I can to help others. I want to make life better for babies by giving them a fair shot at life. I am an advocate and absolute supporter of the March of Dimes. Without the research and funding they have put into neonatal care, prenatal care, and birth defects, we would not have nearly the amazing care for pregnant mothers and newborns as we do. I am kicking off my 2016 #MarchforBabies campaign TODAY!
How can you help?
So glad you asked! There are many wonderful organizations participating, of which I will highlight a few here.
March of Dimes
I would like you to consider a $5-$10 donation to our March for Babies team – Team Charis and Kat. You know our story. We had two sick preemies. One survived, one did not. I’m raising money for more research and advances to save other babies like Kathryn.

Sunshine After the Storm
This is my 501(c)3 nonprofit to support Grieving Mothers. We donate copies of our book Sunshine After the Storm: A Survival Guide for the Grieving Mother for FREE to moms who need it and to bereavement groups and hospitals. You can help us do this by either making a direct donation HERE at the website OR you can shop for some of your Christmas or Hannukah presents through a Jamberry fundraiser we have set up. 25% of all sales will go to Sunshine After the Storm.
WaterAid
WaterAid is a special organization to me. I’ve written about WaterAid before. The work that this organization does to ensure everyone has access to safe, clean water make life-changing differences around the world. And today, on #GivingTuesday – every donation up to $150,000 will be matched.
A child dies every 40 seconds from water related diseases. We can do better!
We can help reach 100,000 children with safe, clean water. I’ll be making a donation here as well.
Go here to donate to WaterAid. I did!
Feed the Children
Another organization I feel quite strongly about! 1 out of 7 children in the U.S. are hungry. No child should ever have to go to bed hungry. Even a small donation can help feed children in need.

Do Good, Feel Good
It’s the way I roll.
There are so many worthy organizations! I really encourage you to go to twitter and search #GivingTuesday or go to their website and learn about all the important organizations that need your help! Donate today – many organizations are matching your donation!
You can learn all about Giving Tuesday at their website #GivingTuesday.
If you have a favorite nonprofit, tell me about it!
