Full disclosure, I am an affiliate for the Bundle of the Week program. You’ll always see the bundle of the week banner on the top of my posts. BUT I do not always blog about it. In fact, I rarely blog about the products. UNLESS of course, I come across one that I feel strongly about.
This week is one of those weeks, ladies and gents. Going GREEN. It’s a topic near and dear to my heart. I have written about my passion for green living (and overall better living!) in several posts before, for example, my post on Earth Day 2013 and my post about Conscious Box.
I’m sure at some point I’ve talked about how much living in Europe impacted my thoughts on recycling. In Germany, for example, you get fined for NOT recycling. The trash cans there are smaller than most recycle bins here, but we had enormous recycle bins to put out each month. Almost everything can be recycled.
Living this way changed me forever. I recycle everything I can now. They pick it up on Fridays, and usually, by Sunday our recycle bin is full again! It’s important to me because I can visibly see a landfill just outside of our city that is growing and growing and growing. If I can do something small to help slow down the damage we are inflicting upon our earth, I will.
But recycling is only one part of living green. I have made many small, easy changes in my lifestyle to benefit our family and our environment. We put SO MUCH CRAP into our bodies as well as into the environment. I don’t want to be the cause of my children having cancer when they are in their twenties.
And that’s why I wanted to share this weeks bundle. I purchased it and can’t wait to dig into these books.
Read on…

January 24, 2014 at 12:28 pmThank YOU for checking them out! And it really is amazing how many really easy steps you can take to make your life more green. For example, I just started cleaning my kitchen floor with vinegar and water. No toxins. Don’t get that lemony fresh smell, but hey, light a candle! 🙂

January 24, 2014 at 10:39 amI am huge believer in recycling here, too. So, thank you so much for sharing. I think the first title totally sounds intriguing to get myself and family healthier and will have to try to take a look at now. Thanks Alexa 🙂

January 24, 2014 at 10:41 amBonus beard conditioner? That’s kinda awesome. They all sound good, but I’m intrigued by “My Buttered Life.” And even though it was still America, I was shocked by how different recycling was in San Francisco. So much more hardcore than the Northeast. And I live in a VERY green part of the state, and still, SF would be pointing and laughing at this town.

January 24, 2014 at 12:26 pmI know there are some wacky things out there! We are finally just getting on board with true recycling in South Carolina, but a small part of me still dies when I see the huge amount of recyclable goods in the garbage cans!

January 24, 2014 at 3:03 pmLike Tamara, I was also intrigued by My Buttered Life. Ha! We are big on recycling and recycle way more than we throw away. We also compost a lot. Today was recycling pick up day. It’s always a challenge in the winter to get all our stuff on the curb in the ice and snow without making a mess!

January 24, 2014 at 10:05 pmWould you know – I recently heard of oil pulling for the very first time!
There is so much more I could be doing – and would like to do. Recycling, herbal remedies, you name it. Thank you for all of these great books and guides to help those like me who want to be educated.
