To all those who currently serve, ever have served, and for all the families that have been impacted by the service of a military member, Happy Veteran’s Day. Thank you for all you do to protect our independence!
My family is full of veterans. I thought that was normal, but recently, I have come to realize that is not the case. My grandfather, who eventually gave his life in service, my great uncles, my father, my ex-brother-in-law, my two brothers-in-law, my father-in-law, my husband, me, four of my cousins… ME, and countless friends and family. It was an honor to serve, and some of the best years of my life. I spent many months of my life deployed in support of both wars, went to Iraq and Afghanistan (for short trips, thankfully) was stationed in Alabama, Texas, North Carolina, and Germany. It was an amazing experience.
Today, on Veteran’s Day, I want to share some of my pictures of service. I don’t blog about it a lot, but I do love to remember those days!
Happy Veteran’s Day!
