I know that some of y’all have been waiting in extreme anticipation for me to complete the front porch project with the wreath I talked about! Well, it took me longer than I expected, but I finally did it last night. And I am so happy with it!
I got my inspiration for this wreath from Pinterest, of course, where all the best ideas are waiting for you! You can find the original pin here. The instructions were very easy to follow, and I have to say, I am very pleased with the outcome!
I took a trip to JoAnn Fabrics (because I had some coupons and they were running a big sale on Fall decorations, plus, I heart JoAnn Fabrics!) and got a large grapevine wreath and just a ton of fall flowers and items. And then the bag of goodies sat upstairs for about two weeks!
Then finally, I began to lay it all out. Night one I brought everything down and cut all of the floral pieces apart. (They were in bunches and everything needed to be separated.)
Night two I just started sticking the pieces in to the wreath and hot gluing them in. Now, I haven’t used a hot glue gun in awhile. Holy Moly that glue gets H-O-T!!! I have two ugly burns to prove it!
But after about an hour or so, I was done, and I am so pleased with the finished product! Yay for me!
What do you think?? Not bad for someone who has never been very crafty or artistic!!
And yes, if you read my first post I Did It! you might notice that I added two more large Mums to complete the front porch… As luck would have it, they happened to be the fundraiser for my daughter’s preschool!

[…] I didn’t think that being “just a stay at home mom” was enough. I needed a project, a business, a “something” more. For example, I bought a whole crap ton of jewelry making supplies (never having made a piece of jewelry in my life) thinking that I would start making and selling jewelry. I have yet to touch any of the supplies, except the wire cutters, which I used when I cut the flowers for my lovely fall wreath. […]
