I Did It!

All this talk about Fall, pictures of cute crafts, decorated homes and porches made me realize I really want in on the action myself!  All these wonderful things I imagined I would do as a Stay at Home Mom (SAHM) never really materialized last year because I had only been home a month when I got pregnant, I was horribly ill through the summer, and then from the end of September until mid December I was either in the hospital or on bedrest!  So, needless to say, my house did not get decorated for Fall.  There were no pretty fall plants. Thank you TTTS for ruining my first year as an SAHM!

But I will have the last laugh!!!

OK, OK, I know what you are thinking… “What is the big deal??  It’s four mums and a tiered basket with some mini pansies in it!  Whoop dee doo!!”

Well, for me it is a big deal.  That tiered pot holder has been sitting on my front porch with nothing but dirt and some dead flowers for over two years!  I am inherently lazy.  So, the fact that I came up with a plan (with some inspiration from my friend Adrienne, Pinterest, and an old issue of BHG!) went to two stores this morning (JoAnn’s where I got the four pots for 75% off! and Lowe’s for the flowers), came home, actually potted the plants and planted the flowers, swept all the dirt off of the porch, AND took pictures… it’s monumental!!!

And this is only Step 1.  Tomorrow I am going to make a beautiful Fall Wreath for the front door, and maybe that will wow you!!  Stay tuned!
