Never Too Much Muchness!

March 14, 2013 By katbiggie 1 Comment

I have written about Muchness before on my blog. It’s something I find to be incredibly important. All of us have muchness. Some of us need help in finding it. Enter Tova.

Tova and I connected via Facebook in a Group she started for those grieving a loss to Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome. Tova has created the most amazing concept for anyone struggling with something in their life. It could be loss, grief, or anything that has just made you feel less than “muchy.” Her phrase that began it all: “I used to be much muchier, and then I lost my muchness.”

So she created the Muchness Challenges to Find Your Muchness. On Tova’s site you can participate in challenges, set up a muchness blog, and share with others who are going through the journey here. She also has a store with cool products that help you feel muchy, such as her Muchness Bands.

What are Muchness Bands?  “Muchness bands are silk & sequined inspirational accessories. Designed to be a physical reminder of the strength you embody and the light and joy that surround you, even if you are struggling with grief or sadness. Wrap it around your wrist, your ponytail, your bag strap… wherever you catch a glimpse of it and be reminded of it’s powerful message.”  Check out me in one of my Muchness bands! It really does make me feel MUCHY!

I have participated in several of Tova’s challenges – most recently a 14 day Valentine’s Day/Marriage Challenge to help bring muchness back to marriage. Her challenges are great and I find myself learning how to cope with the crap life sometimes sends your way and making myself better from it.

Over the last year Tova and I have become friends and I am so excited that she is now one of my Sponsors.  You may have noticed the “Little Bits of Light” Sponsor Box.  That is MUCHNESS friends! Make sure you visit!

Tova recently started a new campaign called “My Muchness Moments.” She did a big fundraiser to raise money for research for Twin to Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS) and also to make a donation of these 30 Day Decks of Muchness Moments cards to mothers at her local hospital, where her friend’s daughter was treated, and unfortunately passed away at only 2 years old. 🙁

I thought these cards were a fabulous idea. Something tangible that you can hold in your hand and read to yourself, with amazing quotes such as “When you are content be simply yourself and don’t compare or compete, everyone will respect you.” – Lao Tzu.  And “Be in the World to Change the World.” When you receive your deck, they come in a beautiful black pouch, with a lovely sticker for you to put on a jar or container to hold this deck.  Here is mine:

“You are never too old to set a new Goal or to dream a new Dream.” – CS Lewis

After the loss of my daughter Kathryn, one of the ways I have found to help myself heal is to participate with a group of other loss moms in the TTTS Support Team. We send packages to mothers who have recently had a loss. It’s filled with items to pamper and hopefully cheer up the mother, as well as inspirational quotes, items with their baby(ies) name on them, and so forth. When I saw these cards, I just knew they would be the perfect addition. Tova has generously donated a large number of these cards to go in the support packages.

I hope you will check out her page. You may find you would like to find your Muchness. Or maybe you know someone who is struggling who could use this resource.  And if you like the Muchness Deck, they are currently on sale!  Just go here.
