In 2011 a group of parents of identical twins started banding together, united in the grief over the death of their child(ren) due to Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome – TTTS. We had firsthand knowledge of the dark, desperate, isolating and confusing days and months after the death of a baby. In our desire to help other parents who had experienced the same pain, the TTTS Support Team was born. In 2012 we started sending out grief packages to any TTTS loss parent requesting one. This service was offered as a gift of love and connection from the heart of the parent who sent the package to the heart of the parent receiving it.
Since that first package in 2012 the TTTS Support Team has sent over 200 packages worldwide along with hundreds of Mother’s Day and winter holiday cards. The team has grown to include 49 parents and donations from Teeny Tears and Angel Outfitters. With last year’s donations we became a non-profit! Now we are asking for your help to continue sending out our care packages, cards, and getting informational pamphlets out to loss parents. We have also joined forces with the Fetal Health Foundation to offer help and support to those families still fighting TTTS.
The TTTS Support Team is trying to raise some funding for some projects, and I’d like to highlight their efforts.
After Kathryn passed away, I received a package from the TTTS Support Team. This is a volunteer organization that sends care packages to other moms who have lost one or both babies to TTTS. The package was so thoughtful and loving, and I knew I was not alone and cared for. Now I am a part of this group. We need help in raising money to continue providing packages to the large amount of requests we sadly receive. Please visit our TTTS Support Team Fundraiser HERE.
You can also visit the Facebook Group for the TTTS Support Team Fundraiser, where we are auctioning off items and running other funraisers to support the team.
