Purple Hair!

April 29, 2013 by katbiggie 20 Comments

Oh yes I did! I dyed my hair purple for the walk on Saturday! Purple is my favorite color, it’s the color that reminds me most of my Kathryn, and it’s the color for Preemies and the March of Dimes. Perfect! But I did it for the Walk.

What walk? THE WALK! The march for Babies! I made a deal with my supporters that if I raised a certain dollar amount, I would dye my hair purple. Well, I used spray in temporary, but it was purple enough!! 🙂

Alexa and Erika

We had an amazing time on Saturday! Despite the rain, my friends and family showed up and we walked! Above is my friend Erika, another TTTS Mom, and me. With purple hair.

The day was awesome! Our Family Team (Charis and Kat) ROCKED IT! We raised over $11,000, almost doubling what we raised last year! We took the awards for Top Family Team and Top Individual Fundraiser, for the 2nd year running! THREE-PEAT, THREE-PEAT! 🙂  It’s all for the LOVE OF KATHRYN!

Purple

I wanted my hair this color, but it didn’t quite get there! Next year!!

We had such a great time – I love my family and friends! This is such an amazing organization to support (The March of Dimes) and I just know that we will have our chance to help save babies like my Kathryn in the future thanks to March of Dimes research and advancements! It’s not too late to donate! If you’d like to learn more, click here.
