Do you have children in K-5?

February 20, 2014 by katbiggie 7 Comments

Just a quick note today. I am currently enjoying a nice warm fireplace and the quiet solitude of our lodge in Snowshoe, WV. My husband and his friends and their wives are out skiing, but I decided to take the day to just relax, have some quiet time, enjoy not having to change diapers or fix snacks, and work on my novel. Yes, I am still working on my novel!

It is quiet. The only sounds I hear are the fireplace crackling, the refrigerator running, and my keys clacking.

A much needed getaway!

But I did want to take a moment to share some information. I was recently contacted by K5 Learning about a free trial in exchange for reviewing their program.

I am always interested in checking out learning programs, especially since my son is far more motivated to do work on the computer than he is on worksheets. And although Jelly Bean is only four, she is an advanced four, and I can see her getting some use out of this program as well. So, I agreed.

K5 Learning has an online reading and math program for kindergarten to grade 5 students. I’ve been given a 6 week free trial to test and write a review of their program. If you are a blogger, you may want to check out their open invitation to write an online learning review of their program.

The site is really cute. They offer a free Ebook, free trials, free worksheets. I’m excited to start my six week review!

If you have school age kids (K-5) go check it out!

And now, I’m off to enjoy my solitude, and get lost in Callie’s adventures in Paris! Which, by the way, I basically threw out the original manuscript and started from fresh. And it’s much improved!!

G’s been into IXL math and have even gotten Biz into it as well. I might check this out as well.

My kids are too old for this program, but it sounds good. Your getaway sounds even better – have a great time!
