Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month 2016

October 10, 2016 by katbiggie Leave a Comment

the-magic-words

This month is pregnancy & infant loss awareness month.pink_and_blue_ribbon

It’s important for me to bring awareness to the topic and have these resources for you.

For those of you who are not familiar with my story, I lost one of my identical twin daughters when they were two days old. So this is a very personal topic.

Here are my two most relevant posts, although if you search around the blog, you’ll find many about grief and recovery. If you’re trying to support a mother who has lost a baby, it’s very important to understand her mindset and realize that, no matter the time during the pregnancy, it is still a crushing blow.

Can you make a donation to support Sunshine After the Storm?

What is Sunshine After the Storm? This is a nonprofit organization we started after writing a book by the same name. We not only provide resources for grieving parents – we send free care packages to grieving mothers. The demand is high and we are always in need of donations.

Jamberry Fundraiser for Sunshine After the Storm

I established Sunshine After the Storm (a 501(c)3 nonprofit) after the loss of my infant daughter Kathryn. We provide encouragement, hope, and light to grieving mothers through the delivery of care packages to grieving mothers. We fill these packages with items to bring the mothers comfort and love. We are selling these awareness wraps AND have an active fundraiser. 40% of all sales are being donated to Sunshine After the Storm.
