Sunday afternoon in Alsace

July 20, 2015 by katbiggie 2 Comments

My daughter and I are visiting my best friend, who lives in France. She is in Alsace, the French department on the border of Germany and Switzerland.  It’s also wine country.  And absolutely beautiful. I spent my junior year of college in the university here in the city of Mulhouse.  Several of my friends are still in Alsace. It is so lovely, the French country side. The culture, the scenery…

Sunday afternoon in Alsace

Sundays are lazy days in France. Everything is closed. You spend the days enjoying a meal with your family and friends, or walking or riding your bike. Relaxing, slowing down. Living in the moment. It’s lovely.

We hosted a small dinner party and invited my friend from university and her husband. Naturally we prepared a very Alsacian meal.

That looks like the way to live! We need to take some tips from the Europeans. 😉
