BabyJunk – Easy way to buy/sell baby stuff {Sponsored Post}

June 13, 2013 by katbiggie 6 Comments

This is a sponsored post, but I have tried the product and like it! Read on, readers!

babyjunk

So you know that my youngest of my children is 18 months old now. I mean after the two emotional posts this week (18 Months and The Other Side you KNOW that the baby is 18 months!!)

Although I am saddened that I will never again nuzzle into the neck of my own newborn, I am also somewhat giddy at the thought of getting rid of all of the STUFF that said newborn requires! I have been making runs to consignment stores, selling through a local Facebook resale page, participating in large consignment sales… and giving a bunch of it away.

As a stay at home mom on a tight budget, as much as I’d like to just give it away or donate it (boy that would be less time consuming) we also need the money that I can bring in from selling some of it.

So I jumped at the opportunity to do a sponsored post for this new website called BabyJunk.com.  It is a brand new site, so don’t be surprised if your community looks a little bare, but it is very user friendly and I love the concept. It’s an online resale page, similar to Craig’s List, but all about Baby Stuff! BabyJunk has set up online communities for all communities.

I loved how easy it was to set up my profile and my first item to sell. I’m glad that it is easy because I have many items to list! The site is also easy to navigate and the for sale items are displayed in a pinterest style board.

Here are 8 reasons why YOU’RE going to love BabyJunk:

  1. It’s simple. You don’t need to be an Internet genius to use our site. Posting items and buying products are easy for anyone to do.

  2. It’s local. BabyJunk creates local community groups to sell and buy items. No 2-hour drives to buy a bottle dryer.

  3. It makes you money. Turn that closet full of baby clutter into cash by posting your items on BabyJunk.

  4. It’s eco-friendly. Thousands of pounds of baby gear end up in landfills every year. Give your old baby gear new life by reselling it.

  5. It’s pretty. With a Pinterest-esque layout, BabyJunk beats the competition in providing visually-appealing posts.

  6. It goes with you. Computer, tablet or phone, BabyJunk works wherever you are shopping.

  7. It’s Facebook-friendly. See a carrier your best friend would love? A diaper bag that’s just your cousin’s style? BabyJunk is integrated with Facebook so that you can easily like, share and announce your items for sale.

  8. It’s versatile. Use cash, credit card or BabyJunk credits to buy and sell items easier and faster.

I’m looking forward to getting the rest of my stuff posted out there, sharing it with my friends (gotta get others to use it too!) and hopefully making easy sales!

Although this has been a sponsored post, I fully endorse BabyJunk!

Wow, thank you for sharing this and so looking into it, because we have a ton that we need to get rid of and making a couple of bucks off of it truly isn’t a terrible thing (you are right we could use the money, too!!).

What a cool idea! I’m done with the baby stuff, but my sister is pregnant. Maybe she can find some good stuff on there. Thanks for the tip!

Several of my friends have been trying to shift their old baby stuff lately – this sounds sensible (and more focused than just using ebay!)

I know! EBAY can be so overwhelming! I really like this idea. Now to start taking pictures!

I couldn’t be bothered to do anything that exerted energy with our old baby stuff so it all went to either the charity shops or friends. I like this idea though. 🙂
