Sandwich Generation?

July 29, 2014 by katbiggie 5 Comments

We just got home from our trip yesterday. I have so much I want to write about, but right now, I’m catching up.

I want to share some other really great posts with you, and hope you’ll check them out.

Are you stressed out by being a mom in the Sandwich Generation?

I wrote a post about being a caregiver to my father and my children and how difficult life in the “sandwich generation” can be.  It’s been a stressful couple of years. I hope you’ll read my story and advice for taking care of yourself as a caregiver and parent. Please, please, PLEASE go visit this post and comment on it. I thought it was an important topic, especially since July is Sandwich Generation Caregiver appreciation month, but it got NO comments. 🙁

Divorce Sucks… but there are sometimes some unexpected positives

My friend Jennifer wrote a really fantastic piece about strength, friendship, and moving on in the wake of her divorce. You’ve got to go read it at Another Jennifer.

That ought to keep you busy! (As if you aren’t already so busy!)

As for Tasty Tuesday –

I am thinking about moving that series to my new collaborative blog as part of a Healthy Moms series. You can check out our new project at Lose the Cape! It’s all about tips and stories for and from busy moms – and celebrating the fact that we aren’t perfect and that is OK! You can check out this fabulouso recipe for Bacon Wrapped Tuna Steaks if you really need a recipe fix today! 🙂
