#politics
Because my focus has been on raising my three little ones and everything that comes along with staying home and managing the household, dealing with our loss, and trying to learn as much as I can about TTTS and what I can do to fight it, I have had little time to focus on politics or the election or even the candidates…
Politics and public service are actually a huge passion to me. I have an MA in Public Administration and my career prior to becoming full time Mommy was all in public service – in the military, and at the state level in Homeland Security. Do I stick to what I’ve always done? Pull the “party line?” Even if my party line has left me feeling alienated and outside the party? Do I stick to what I’ve always known, because often that’s what we do, or do I really examine the way I feel about the issues, and maybe come to the realization that perhaps my values have changed… perhaps I have shifted a little more to the left.
As I pondered which side of the fence to jump off on this year, I came up with a little list of the things that draw me to each party. …”
