A Really Big, Mother of All Big, Big, Deal

October 3, 2013 By katbiggie 17 Comments

The Mother of All Meltdowns

I am officially a published author! With 29 other really amazing writers!

It may surprise you that my first book out is not actually going to be Sunshine After the Storm.  That book (for grieving mothers) is coming soon!

But first…. drum roll please…

I am included in an anthology of 30 mothers who bare it all. (Our worst moments, that is!)

MOAM big logo

This book is on the completely other end of the spectrum. This one is a lighthearted and insanely funny collection of mothers having meltdowns. Yeah, you read that write. The mothers. We share our worst, funniest moments of motherhood.

If you’ve ever had a bad day as a mom, you’re going to want to read this book!

I particularly like the review the Dose Girls gave the book:

“Every mom reading will come away feeling like she has thirty new girlfriends who just “get it”! All moms deserve the laughter and validation The Mother of All Meltdowns delivers!” ~ Lisa and Ashley, a.k.a. The Dose Girls

and brilliant minds behind the humorous blog The Dose of Reality

The book includes 30 tell all stories that are sure to make you roll in laughter.

Every mother, at some point, inevitably becomes her own worst enemy. In a millisecond, her halo crumbles and she has a moment so crazed it is forever known as the one—The Mother of All Meltdowns.

No, I did not tell the story of when I accidentally washed a diaper of poop in a load of laundry…

Nor did I tell the story of the day my child refused to listen at swimming lessons and I nearly jumped into the pool fully clothed to drag him out…

I guess you’ll just have to read the book to find out what story I shared!

So sorry for your losses! And yes, writing about it really helps. In fact, a bunch of us “loss moms” just published a book all about this – Sunshine After the Storm: A Survival Guide for the Grieving Mother. I look forward to getting to know you better!
