Three years ago… December 10, 2011. I woke up in the hospital bed at about 6am like normal. Shift change. The night nurse checked on me one last time, and I knew I wouldn’t see anyone again for awhile. Since it was Saturday morning, I knew I would not have the normal troop of medical […]
Mother’s Day Video
I put together this very short clip using my new favorite App – Magisto. Actually, I can’t even say that I put it together, cause all I did was select a few options, and they put it together for me. Fast and Free. I am not getting compensated for this post, I’m just sharing a […]

Off the Reservation
Over the next few weeks, you may all think that I have gone completely “off the reservation” as the saying goes. That’s me folks. I think I’m driving the crazy train, losing my marbles, wigging out… every used up cliche you can think of. Muddled up. Please don’t “mute” me, I’m just working my way […]
Day 17
On Thanksgiving Day last year, November 24, 2011, I had been lying in a hospital bed for 17 days, hoping and praying that my babies would be able to continue to grow stronger. It was lonely. I slept most of the day, in and out of a groggy state, wondering how much longer I would […]
World Prematurity Day: Tiny and Kathryn

No Antidote
November 8th. One year ago today I was anxiously awaiting my weekly appointment to see Dr. Browne. I was just over 26 weeks pregnant with the girls, and the week before had not been a good appointment. I reflected on what the doctor had told us at the last appointment. Kathryn was getting worse each […]
TTTS Tuesday – Kiera and Charlie’s Story
Today’s post comes from someone I have become friends with through several TTTS support groups on Facebook. His story has a happy ending, but demonstrates that even those families who have both twins survive still go through hell while fighting this disease. Marcel’s story is also different because he is in the UK. TTTS, like […]
Half Birthday
My surviving twin is 6 months old today. Happy 1/2 Birthday sweet pea. I love you so much, and know that your guardian angel sister is giggling up in heaven. Daisies are the official flower of the Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS) foundation, so I ordered us a beautiful bouquet.
